CORE Compliant Award– What’s in it for me?

Core Compliant is your assurance that your chapter is well-managed.  ASTD Chapter Operating Requirements (CORE) are a set of performance guidelines designed to help chapters deliver consistent benefits to members. CORE consists of elements in five key areas: administration, financial, membership, professional development, and communication, which are necessary for running a chapter like a business.  89% of all chapters were CORE compliant in 2009, up 14% from 2008.

What is a Membership Star Award?

• CORE Compliant  = 39% joint membership (joint members are local chapter members who also join national ASTD)
• Membership Star = 35-50% joint membership
• Super Star = over 50% joint membership
