Meet Andrew Lawrence

Learn more about this month's featured member who works for Standard Register.

Andrew works for Standard Register as an Account Representative. His responsibilities include prospecting for new accounts, managing orders for current customers and consulting customers on how to make their print jobs more cost efficient. Andrew says, “My goal is to help all of my customers spend as little time dealing with printed collateral and more time training.”

Andrew joined the Army in 2004 and remain a member of the Army Reserve today.  In 2008 he received a commission to become an Officer and his military assignment as a company commander keeps him fully occupied when he’s not working his 'civilian' job.  Andrew started out in the Army working with tanks, but in 2007 had the opportunity to attend and graduate from the Army Airborne school where he earned his paratrooper wings. His current Unit's mission at Fort Knox is to train approximately 3000 ROTC Cadets on Land Navigation skills.

Andrew’s favorite past time is playing Golf.  He grew up and still lives in Southern KY.  He enjoys the outdoors and spends a lot of free time in the woods setting trail cameras or hunting.  Andrew attended Western Kentucky University and is die hard WKU Men’s basketball fan.

When asked what he hopes to get out of his membership with ASTD Middle Tennessee, he responded, “I feel like to be knowledgeable in the industry, I need to surround myself with experts. Too often, people in my position care more about their products than they do about their customer and never take the time to fully understand the business. My goal is to learn about all of the struggles that are experienced in the training arena so that I can fully understand how to help my customers the best."
