Nominations for 2011 MT-ASTD Board

The Nominating Committee of the Middle Tennessee Chapter of ASTD is accepting nominations for the 2011 Board of Directors. Nominations will be accepted through August 12, 2010.
Please use the link below to access the form to nominate individuals for board offices. You may nominate yourself or someone else after securing their agreement to serve if elected. Each nominee must be a current ASTD member in good standing. Be sure to include your reason for nomination.

To assist in your nominations, here are brief summaries of each board position:
President-Elect: Supports board committees as needed, responsible for monthly volunteer spotlight on website/newsletter, chairs nominating for the following year's board, plans annual retreat to kick off new board year.
Vice President of Finance: Collects fees for dues, chapter meetings, and other events; reimburses board members for chapter expenditures; pays chapter bills, reconciles chapter accounts; reports financial statements to board monthly; ensures audit is completed annually.
Vice President of Administration: Takes minutes at board meetings, prints registration list and name tags for chapter meetings, runs registration table at chapter meetings.
Co-Vice President of Marketing/Communications: Develop comprehensive M/C plan for the chapter year, coordinate communication with members, board, and community, publish articles on website/newsletter.
Co-Vice President of Membership: Actively recruit new individual and corporate members; maintain membership database; report membership status to board monthly; reconcile local and national membership records; be the point-of-contact for membership questions.
Co-Vice President of Community Relations: Search out and coordinate volunteer partnerships with community organizations; distribute event information to chapter members via website articles, announcements at meetings, and newsletter.
Co-Vice President of Programs: Identify topics of interests to members; secure speakers and locations for each monthly chapter meeting; communicate topic/speaker/location of meetings to chapter members via website, emails, newsletter; send out and tabulate post-event evaluations.
Director of Technology: Familiarizes and becomes competent in technology applications and/or systems used by chapter for membership communications and data; maintains/updates chapter website; supports board functions in relation to technology usage; acts as point-of-contact and laision with web hosts; develops annual budget for technology function; researches, develops, and facilitates new ideas for using technological innovation to deliver enhanced services to members.
