Dear Training & Development Colleagues:

     Our membership is up 25% since the first of this year.  Why?  One reason is we’ve taken the feedback you gave us in our annual membership survey and planned program topics you said were of interest to you.  Another reason membership that our membership is growing is because we are the premiere association for training and development professionals in middle Tennessee. 

     Did you attend the free conference call June 24 with Stephen Covey answering questions about trust?  That was just a preview.  Our September 16 meeting on Stephen Covey’s book SPEED of Trust will be facilitated by a Covey facilitator. 

     Also mark your calendar for September 30 when we’ll bring in nationally known author and speaker, Garrison Wynne, focusing on the topic of leadership for a half-day seminar ending with lunch.  

     The Nominating Committee (chaired by Kiffin McCoy) would like you to nominate someone for our board, or nominate yourself by August 12.  Board involvement enables you to build deeper relationships with your fellow T&D colleagues, and gives you skill-building opportunities to lead projects and follow through to a satisfying conclusion.  Look on our website for a “Latest News” item from the Nominating Committee. http://www.astdtn.org/article.html?aid=254
