Policy for Outside Requests to Communicate to Membership
ASTD Middle Tennessee Chapter (ASTDTN) is willing to share outside information that is likely to be of value to the majority of our membership. Information deemed appropriate will be included in the monthly newsletter following the request. Date-sensitive information, e.g. for a specific event, may be repeated so as to be included in the newsletter closest to the date in question.
ASTDTN will not send a special email to its membership in order to pass along outside information. If a request is date-sensitive and is made late, such that the newsletter deadline has already passed, we may be able to add the information as a news item to the www.astdtn.org website.
Determining whether information is "likely to be of value to our membership" is up to the discretion of the ASTDTN Board. Organizations with commercial offers/appeals that may be of value to ASTDTN membership are welcome to sponsor a meeting. (See http://www.astdtn.org/events/sponsor-meeting for more information.)
